Egged aspires to be a pioneer in the reduction of air pollution by purchasing buses equipped with Euro 3 engines, using ultra-low sulfur fuel, and utilizing methods for recycling water, oils, garage waste and so on.

    Egged is proud to be one of the first companies in the Israeli market to publish a comprehensive corporate responsibility report. Following the 2002 and 2004 reports the 2008 report is the third to be published by Egged. The 2008 report was prepared in accordance with recognized GRI format and according to level ‘C’ report standards

    Mr. Nir Landau, the Head of Egged Logistic Maintenance & Purchasing Division said: "The usage of compressed natural gas is considered 'green' and reduces the emissions from the engine.
