  • +How to cancel tickets to Eilat?

    Answer:

    • If you've booked the ticket through the Customer Service Center or website, you can cancel the ticket up to 2 hours before your original departure time through the website. Click to cancel
    • If you've bought the ticket from a cashier at bus station, go to the nearest bus station to make appropriate amendments
  • +Are there any travel discounts for sdutents?

    Answer:

    50% Student Discount

    • A student who purchased either Annual or Semester Student Pass is entitled to travel free of charge within the zone stated in the Student Pass and to 50% discount on a base fare for travel beyond the zone stated in the Student Pass.
    • The discount does not apply on Monthly Pass and One-Day Ticket.

    30%-33% Student Discount

    • A student is entitled to 33% discount on a single ticket or Multi-Ride ticket loaded onto the Rav Kav Card with Student profile up to code 11 and to 30% discount on a Multi-Ride Ticket loaded onto the Rav Kav Card with Student profile starting from code 16. 
  • +Are there any travel discounts for disabled people?

    Answer:

    Persons with disabilities, holding the certificate issued by the Israel Ministry of Defense or by the National Insurance Institute of Israel (Bituah Leumi), are entitled to a 10% discount on ticket fare starting from code 16 (inclusive)
     
  • +If passengers with a residence permit are eligible for discount on public transport?

    Answer:

    Since 22.11.2016 passengers with a residence permit (student visa, temporal residence visa, special visa for religious reason etc.) are eligible for public transport discounts like Israeli citizens, for a period of at least 12 months.

  • +Whish bus routes in Israel use low-floor buses?

    Answer:

    Starting January 1, 2015 all city routes use low-floor buses. To find out if the bus will be accessible to someone who is disabled, please call our Customer Services team on *2800, and we will check if an easy access bus will be running on the trip you are intending to catch.
  • +Do bus drivers have to accept any notes?

    Answer:

    As the bus drivers don’t carry much cash on board, they may not accept big notes. According to the rule No. 434 (B) of Transportation Regulations, a passenger can pay a driver the amount that not exceeds the trip cost X 10. For example, if the trip cost is NIS 8.00, bus drivers may not accept NIS 100 note.

    • Explosive and incendiary materials
    • Loaded firearms
    • Items that may cause risk to other passengers
    • Items that may soil the bus or passengers
    • Dogs incapable of being carried on a passenger’s knee, off‑leash and unmuzzled dogs
  • +How to get the certificate of the National Insurance Institute of Israel?

    Answer:

    The Certificate of the National Insurance Institute is issued by the Ministry of Transport once every two years, or once a month to a newly entitled person, or twice a month to those who have lost it. As a rule, it is not necessary to apply for the Certificate to the Ministry of Transport - it's automatically sent to those who are entitled to. In case of lost or non-receipt of Certificate, contact the Ministry of Transport *5678 or write to the Traffic Controller, Public Transport Department, 8 Ha-Melakha St., P.O.B. 57109, Tel-Aviv, 61570
  • +Are there any travel discounts for soldires?

    Answer:

    Soldiers in uniform with the certificate of enlisted soldier can travel free of charge on all bus lines except for Eilat lines.
  • +Can soldier wearing civilian clothes travel free of charge?

    Answer:

    Soldiers holding  NO.327 certificate with a valid certificate of an enlisted soldier/officer/cadet or reservist  are permitted to travel free of charge except for Eilat lines.
  • +Do children need a ticket?

    Answer:

    • One child under five can travel for free when accompanied by an adult carrying a valid ticket
    • Second child under the age of 5 will be charged a child fare
  • +Are there any travel discounts for National Service Conscripts?

    Answer:

    National Service conscripts can travel free of charge on lines with price code higher than code 5 (inclusive), except for Eilat lines, upon the presentation of National Service Conscript Certificate.
  • +Are animals allowed on the bus?

    Answer:

    Customers are welcome aboard buses with their animal or pet, according to some rules:
    • Guide dogs accompanying blind persons if they are kept on a leash
    • Guide dogs during their training period will not be charged if they board with an instructor. Dogs must wear the vest  “Guide dog in training” (כלב נחיה באימון).
    • Dog's instructor will be charged full fare
    • Dogs, cats, or other small animals, capable of being carried on a passenger’s knee muzzled and on a leash, pets inside a box or a basket if they do not prove to be a nuisance or cause inconvenience to passengers
    • Big animals must wear a muzzle and a leash

  • +If passenger luggage is allowed on board the bus and how much should I pay for?

    Answer:

    Passengers may take hand luggage free of charge, according to the list below, if it does not disturb or hurt other passengers:
    • Bag, suitcase or rucksack (should be carried in luggage compartment)
    • Folding wheelchair or baby stroller
    • Carry on luggage such as music instrument, package, box, sack, etc., if it does not disturb or hurt other passengers
    • Narrow luggage such as a wooden pole if its length does not exceed one meter
    Charges for Extra Luggage, excluding baby strollers during off-peak hours
    • Passengers shall pay a full ticket fare up to code 4
    • Starting from code 4, passengers shall pay 50% of ticket fare
  • +Are wheelchairs or mobility scooters allowed on bus?

    Answer:

    Persons with reduced mobility who wish to take their wheelchair or mobility scooter on our city bus services may use the rear door ramp if the dimensions of wheelchair or scooter do not exceed 75 cms (width), 120 cms (depth) and 130 kgs (weight)
  • +Who is responsible for bus stops and bus pools maintenance?

    Answer:

    Egged exerts all efforts to make the entire trip experience comfortable and pleasant. Maintenance and operation of all bus stops are the responsibility of the local authority, on whose area of jurisdiction they are situated. A passenger can report any damage to a bus stop or shelter by contacting the local authorities.

  • +Are there any travel discounts for children between 5 and 10 years old?

    Answer:

    Children aged between 5-10 are entitled to 20% discount starting from code 16 
  • +Are there any travel discounts for Senior Citizen?

    Answer:

    Women aged over 60 and men aged over 65 holding the Senior Citizen’s certificate are entitled to a 50% discount. The discount is only given to Israeli citizens.
