Privacy Policy – Job Applicants to Egged

Egged Transportation Company Ltd. ("Egged” or "the Company") strictly adheres to the provisions of the law concerning protection of the privacy of job applicants to the Company.
The purpose of this policy is to inform job applicants to Egged about the personal information collected and processed by Egged (independently, or through third parties providing services to it), the purposes of processing the collected and processed information, and the applicants’ rights in connection with information about them.
This policy is written in the masculine form for convenience only, but it is intended for all genders alike.
Provision and collection of personal information in connection with job applications submitted to Egged and the Company's examination of applications
Job applicants to Egged will be requested to provide personal information including:

Identifying information. Such as: first name, last name and identity card number.

Contact information. Such as: address, email address and mobile/landline phone number.

Information regarding training, education and professional experience. Such as: licenses, professional or
academic studies, work experience and references, including certificates attesting to such licensing or
education. -
The applicant's expectations regarding work in the Company. Such as: working conditions and salary expectations.

Additional personal information that applicants may provide at their discretion. Such as: hobbies, social initiatives,
military service, etc.
Additionally, applicants for the position of drivers, maintenance personnel and inspectors will be required to provide additional personal information
that includes:

Regarding drivers: details of driving licenses, including copies, and driving record.

Additional information required for the purpose of evaluating their fitness to serve in the relevant position according to the law
and regulation applicable in the field from time to time, for example according to the provisions of the Traffic Ordinance [New
Version], and the regulations promulgated thereunder. -
Medical information, such as medical information summaries and test results such as hearing tests or vision
tests. In certain cases, the Company may request to conduct a medical examination and additional medical tests
for applicants for driver positions.
Additionally, if an applicant is being considered for a position that legally requires further information from them under the provisions of the Prevention of Employment of Sex Offenders in Certain Institutions Law, 5761- 2001, and the regulations promulgated and to be promulgated thereunder, they will be required to provide this information as well.
Important clarifications

There is no legal obligation for an applicant to provide personal information; however, in the absence of relevant personal information
for the evaluation of an applicant’s application for employment in the Company, the Company will not be able to consider their application. It is further
clarified that for certain positions there is a legal obligation to perform assessments, as part of which
personal information about you will be collected; without these assessments, you will not be able to be screened for the
relevant positions. -
An applicant should refrain from providing personal information that they do not wish to share.

The Company does not require the applicant to provide it with personal information that is not directly related to their recruitment
for work in the Company, including personal information unrelated to their training, education or professional experience
(or, in the cases mentioned above, to the applicant’s health status, or information intended to determine
their suitability for the position as stated) that is relevant to working in the Company. -
The Company requests that the applicant refrain from providing sensitive personal information such as: sexual orientation,
religious beliefs, or political affiliation. It is clarified that even if an applicant chooses to disclose sensitive personal information
as stated, it will not be used as a basis for a decision regarding acceptance or non-acceptance for employment.
Collection of professional personal information from additional sources
Egged may collect personal information about applicants (after they have chosen to apply for a job directly to the Company or through a third party providing it with recruitment services) from public sources, or from third parties such as: references (whose names were provided by the applicant) and information from social media platforms (including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and others). Egged may employ a third party to conduct such background checks.
Collection of additional information during the job application evaluation process at Egged
As part of the process of examining a person's application for a certain position in the Company, Egged may request the applicant,
as a condition for further consideration of his employment in the Company, to undergo medical examinations, a reliability test (to be performed by Egged or through a third party that will conduct such a test on its behalf), as well as a professional and/or psychological evaluation (to be performed by a third party).
The results of the medical examinations, the reliability test, the professional evaluation and/or the psychological evaluation
will be kept by the Company together with all the other information collected about the applicant. In accordance with the agreements with the parties providing the professional/psychological evaluation service, they are prohibited to use the evaluation results for any purpose other than evaluating the applicant’s application for employment in Egged, unless they have received explicit consent from the applicant to do so.
Use of personal information
Egged uses the personal information about job applicants for the following purposes:

Recruitment for employment in Egged or its affiliated companies, including for purposes of applicant filtering, applicant screening,
interviews, examining suitability for the position, etc. -
Contacting the applicant, including future communications (for the purpose of examining the possibility of future recruitment, or
updating information in connection with professional experience). -
Contacting the applicant repeatedly in the future, subject to the applicant being able to request Egged at any time
not to contact them with repeated communications via the means indicated in such communications. These communications
may be direct mailings, and you can remove yourself from them in the manner stated in the
Your Rights section below. -
Compliance with the law applicable to the Company, including the provision of information legally required by a competent authority,
and in particular the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the State Comptroller, the Ministry of Finance,
the Israel Police, etc. -
Control and optimization of the Company's recruitment processes.

Generating insights for the operational needs of Egged and its affiliated companies on an aggregated basis.
Protection of personal information and information security
The personal information provided to Egged or collected by it will be stored in the databases under its control.
Egged takes strict care to manage its databases lawfully and to safeguard the security of the information contained therein,
while employing appropriate technological, legal, and organizational security measures.
However, it must be taken into account that despite the implementation of security measures, the practical ability to completely prevent information security incidents is limited. Therefore, it is recommended to refrain from providing personal information that is not
professional information, and especially to refrain from providing sensitive personal information during the recruitment processes for employment in the Company.
Transfer and sharing of personal information
Egged may transfer personal information to third parties in the following cases:

To suppliers, for processing by companies that provide us with services related to the hiring process,
such as external screening and evaluation institutes (we will provide these companies with the information and receive from them
information about you solely to assist us in evaluating your suitability for the job and the hiring process),
or other service providers, such as technology system providers that store and process data
on our behalf. -
Where required by law, or at the request of a competent authority, such as the
Ministry of Transport, the State Comptroller, the courts, the Commissioner for Equal Employment Opportunities. -
With the consent (express or implied) of the applicant, such as contacting references whose names the applicant
provided to the Company. -
To companies in the Egged Group, for the purpose of recruiting personnel for companies included in the Egged Group. In this regard, the “Egged Group” includes companies controlled by Egged that are located in Israel, including Egged Holdings Ltd., Egged Leasing Ltd., Egged Properties Ltd., Derech Egged Jerusalem Ring Ltd., Egged Heseim Ltd., Egged Golan Heights Ltd., Egged Metro Ltd. and Tevel Metro Ltd.

In the event of a change in ownership of the Company, merger, acquisition, dissolution or transfer of assets (including negotiations related thereto). The transfer of the information will be subject to the acquiring company acting in accordance with this policy only.
Retention and deletion of information
Personal information about applicants who do not become employees of Egged will be kept for a period of up to 36 months from the end of the recruitment process or the last contact between the parties, and then deleted, unless its continued retention is required by law, or
insofar as a legal proceeding is underway that requires the retention of the information for a longer period for the purpose of conducting the
proceeding. During this period, the Company may use the information for future communications and for the purpose of
including the applicant in a pool of candidates for future positions, subject to the applicant's right to request not to receive
repeated communications, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Personal information about applicants who become employees of Egged or employees in the Egged Group, which also includes
the companies under its control, will be kept as part of the personal information of the Company’s employees or employees of the
relevant company in the Group in which the applicant will be employed. Information of an applicant who becomes an employee will be treated in the same way as personal information of the Company’s employees. Personal information of applicants who become contractors of Egged will be kept
as part of the personal information of Egged suppliers.
Applicants' rights of review, correction and deletion – personal information

An applicant has the right to review personal information held about them at Egged. The manner of exercising the right will be determined from time
to time by the Company in accordance with its procedures, and in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. It is clarified that the Company has
the discretion not to allow review of information that is a trade secret or other professional or
commercial information of ours or of the screening and evaluation institutes performing employment suitability tests on our behalf,
or in another situation, for example damage that may result from uncontrolled exposure to sensitive information. -
Additionally, an applicant may, in cases where information held about them is erroneous, or they believe it
to be erroneous, misleading, incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate, request to correct or delete it, in accordance with the Company's procedures,
and in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. -

It should be clarified that in any case, when contacting us to exercise such right, we may request additional information in order
to verify your identity before processing the request.
