Group Structure - From Cooperative to Powerhouse

Egged was conceived as a humble cooperative society. However over the years it has grown and transformed into a powerful, modern transport Group. Nowadays, the Keystone Foundation and the Teachers’ Funds own 78% of the Company shares, with the remainder still in the hands of Egged’s veteran members.

This blend of tradition, of historical experience, and new investment, innovation and forward thinking - enables Egged to continue in its leadership role in public transport in Israel and abroad, to move forward with - and sometimes even before - the times.
