The center is located at the Egged parking lot on Dan Shomron Street in Holon. Entry and parking are free of charge!

  • Groups and organized tours: Sundays-Thursdays between 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (by prior appointment only).

 At the Egged Historical Vehicle Center, you can indulge in memories, touch history, and connect with the fascinating story of the State of Israel. Every bus has been meticulously restored down to the last detail – from the original colors to the authentic fittings. Many of the buses are even in drivable condition!

A journey through 80 years of public transport

The manager of the Egged Historical Vehicle Center notes that the center offers a direct and accessible experience of history that captivates both children and adults. According to him, the word "Egged" has been synonymous with "bus" for nearly eighty years, and every bus on display holds a unique and interesting story.

Discover the moving stories behind:

  • The Ford "Tefla" ("pot" in Yiddish) from the 1930s, which carried passengers, eggs, milk, and chickens between the colonies.

  • Historical Bus 2094, which was attacked at Nahalim Junction the day after the UN Partition Plan vote (Nov 29th), marking the start of the War of Independence.

  • The first bus to travel to Santa Caterina after the Six-Day War.

  • The iconic double-decker buses from the 1990s.
